The next government should achieve a cross-party consensus on the labor code, and attempt to modernize the code so that it has the flexibility to function well both in office and factory environments.
A good labor code should define clearly different types of working relationships, such as temporary employment, home office, shifting between different legal structures within the same company.
Such a labor code should be surrounded by a social policy which encourages skills development, workforce mobility, and that centers on protecting people and not jobs.
