November 27, 2020 at 9 am. What is the future of the employer and employee relationship?

Who will work for us, and where? Discussion on the key changes in workforce wrought by the crisis. We addressed three hypotheses: A majority of people will work from anywhere.(Pros and Cons) Organizational culture will change dramatically as the connection to a physical office declines. The emotional “agreement” between employer and employee to supersede the legal contract. Led by Rebecca Grattan of Avast, Jaroslava Rezlerová of ManpowerGroup Czech Republic and Rainer Bogner of ExxonMobil, moderated by Andrea Hepnerová.

November 26, 2020 at 2 pm. How can the pandemic help us become The Country for the Future? 

A discussion with Minister of Industry and Trade Karel Havlíček, Deputy Minister Petr Očko, Milan Šlapák of GE Aviation, Tomáš Kolář of Linet, Ondřej Krajíček of Y Soft Corporation, Michal Klimeš of HPe and Martin Jahn of VW on how we can use the changes caused by the pandemic to achieve our common goal of being a leading tech economy. AmCham brief with KPIs and policy recommendations introduced.

 

 

November 10, 2020, 2 pm. What type of private investment will spur recovery AND accelerate the country's transformation into a high-tech research-based economy? 

Public investment in salaries and loan guarantees is stabilizing the economy. Private investment, especially those which can multiply the effect of EU funds, will be what determines how well economies move out of the crisis. The AmChams of CEE have put together a roster of the leaders (including Dalibor Kačmář of Microsoft Czech Republic, Ondřej Vlček of Avast Antivirus, Milan Šlapák of GE Aviation and Michel Perret of Carrier Refrigeration) of companies that have made pathbreaking investments in the region. They will make the business case for those investments and discuss the potential for such investments to multiply.
