HN: In-house lawyers do not fear the new Czech Civil Code anymore

In-house lawyers do not fear the new Czech Civil Code anymore, Hospodářské noviny wrote today. Clients do not turn to lawyers for explanation of the new law as often as earlier, but lawyers expect increased workload after courts start to make decisions based on the new legislation.

What is critical is the situation in the areas of insolvency and public procurement, lawyers said. HN conducted a survey among in-house lawyers present at a seminar organized by the Association of In-house Lawyers of the Czech Republic and Allen&Overy Law Firm. An issue in 2016 will be the EU's MIFID II Directive, according to the HN survey.
