Opening a EUR 2m fund for digital inclusion today: Google.org Impact Challenge CEE

The goal of this open call is to fund innovative ideas that use technology and innovation to help individuals and communities in need through economic recovery. The projects should thus help bridge the digital divide and build a digital economy that works for everyone. Project support will be both financial (ranging from € 50.000 to €250,000 over 12-36 months) and expert support from Google.

Opening this fund today delivers on the announcement we made at the Three Seas Virtual Summit last October to support the ambition of the 3Si region to build resilient, digital-driven economies.

Eligible organisations (nonprofits, for-profit companies and academic institutions alike) can now apply for support for their charitable projects until March 1, 2021 at g.co/ceechallenge. We will support them during the application process by two workshops in the next weeks. Awarded projects (grantees) will be announced in June or July. We are honoured that a distinguished panel of experts will advise on the selection of the boldest and brightest ideas.

It is our sincere hope that the projects realized with the help of this fund will meaningfully contribute to economic recovery and digital inclusion in the Czech Republic.

If you or your staff wish to spread the word about this initiative (in order to increase the number and quality of applications), you are more than welcome to do so. We can also provide you with social media assets to do so.
