(Česká verze níže.) “When you decide to go into government, you have some big ideas of what you want to do, and can do,” Minister Dan Ťok told AmCham members at the outset of his address. “Then, from the first moment you are in the building, the firefighting starts.There is this problem that must be solved. There is that mistake to be fixed. There are political considerations. There are threats and scandals. And all those big ideas can get deflated pretty quickly. But they should not. Governments were not created only to focus on fixing yesterday’s mistakes, but also to prepare for a better future.”
