On 29th September Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka and Minister of Industry and Commerce Jan Mládek attended official opening ceremony of 56th International Engineering Fair that took place in Brno. Brno was host to more than 1600 exhibitors when 47 % were from abroad and with the special guest status of Thailand. Prime minister stressed within his opening speech that engineering represented key segment of Czech industry and the World Engineering Fair represented close interconnection of Czech market and world markets. Minister of Commerce and Industry Jan Mládek also appreciated the opportunity to get the feedback from the exporters in order to be able to help them. He among others also visited the exhibition of China Council for The Promotion of International Trade — Machinery Sub Council and of west-Chinese province Sichuan. One of the frequent topics of his discussions with exhibitors was that there was a risk of low level and insufficient number of qualified workers in engineering branch.
