Commission closes legal cases after Czech Republic adapts gender equality laws

The European Commission has today decided to close infringement proceedings against the Czech Republic following its successful implementation of EU rules on gender equality in occupational social security schemes. The cases had been opened because national legislation was incompatible with the EU's Directives on equal treatment for men and women in occupational social security schemes. [more]
