According to the Czech Statistical Office in first quarter of 2014 total number of 167 875 guests visited Czech spas. That is year-on-year increase by 6.7 %. Overall amount of nights spent there raised by 6.9 % to 1 263 215 nights. Within these numbers 86 255 guest came from abroad which is increase by more than 4.9 % and amount of nights spent there by foreigners raised by 2.2 % to 695 886. For residents these numbers are 81 620 (+8.6 %) with increase of nights spent by 13.2, which is in contrast to previous year decline. Among the nationalities with most guests coming to the Czech spas were Germans, Russians, Ukrainians, Austrians, Slovaks and also many Asians from different countries of origin.
