Czech telecommunication office wants lower wholesale prices for LTE

Czech telecommunication office announced that it wants to force the mobile operators to reduce their LTE internet connection wholesale prices for the virtual mobile operators to be able to offer LTE connection to the public. The Office claims that by having auctioned the LTE frequencies the mobile operators have also taken on themselves the responsibility for the market with LTE internet services and for its functioning. The Office is also investigation the O2 and T-Mobile agreement on sharing LTE networks and it is considering establishing whole new market to regulate. This year the Office is planning another auction of LTE frequencies (1800 and 2600 MHz, 3.6 – 3.8 Mhz) and it has also proposed reduction of the annual fees but this proposal is still only in the state of consideration at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
