In June 2017 the first Czech technology nanosatellite (VZLUSAT-1) was successfully launched into Earth´s orbit using the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle in the Indic spaceport in the Bay of Bengal. VZLUSAT-1 is a 2U CubeSat type technological nanosatellite for the in-orbit demonstration of new technologies and products. . Its mission is to verify new products and technologies on Earth´s orbit. Mission is a joint project of the Czech Aerospace Rresearch institute and Test Centre (VZLU), commercial partners and technical universities (CTU, UWB) of the Czech Republic.
