Deputy Minister for the Civil Service was chosen

On Wednesday 28th January the Czech Government chose the first Deputy Minister for the Civil Service ever, Mr. Josef Postránecký. Mr. Postránecký was chosen during the second round of selection process from 21 applicants. His nomination is first of many personal changes aiming to stabilize and reform civil service. His next duty is preparation of selection processes of Secretaries to lead Civil Servants at individual ministries. All these changes are part of implementation of Civil Service Act which implementation was among others required for signing the Framework Agreement with the EU in order for the Czech Republic to be able to extract the money from the European structural funds. The Deputy Minister for the Civil Service will be also responsible for further negotiation with the EC and for resolving its comments and requirements regarding Civil Service Act.
