EU27 inflation rate remains stable

Annual inflation rate in euro area was 2.4% in July 2012 and 2.5% in the EU27. Both rates remained stable compared to June. Inflation rate dropped by 0.2 and 0.4 percentage points respectively, compared to July 2011.

Countries with the lowest annual inflation were Sweden (0.7%), Greece (0.9%), Germany and Latvia (both 1.9%). The highest annual inflation rate was recorded in Hungary (5.7%), Malta (4.2%) and Estonia (4.1%).
