European inflation down in March

Euro area annual inflation rate is expected to have fallen to 1,7% in March 2013, just 0,1 percentage points down compared to February 2013. The highest inflation was measured in the field of food, alcohol and tobacco products (2,7%), services (1,9%) and non-energy industrial goods (1,7%).

The annual inflation rate has been falling continuously since the beginning of 2013. The euro area annual inflation rate is closely measured by the Eurostat and to keep the annual inflation rate close, but lower than 2% is the main goal of the Europan Central Bank.
