Government approved kurzarbeit

On its meeting on 3rd November Czech government approved the introduction of kurzarbeit. The subsidy to the employers will be paid in the case they would face external economic pressures so as to be able to retain the number of employees whilst lowering the costs as the employees in this case would get 70 % from their salary where 20 % would be paid by the state. In close relation to this Government also approved the group of 37 various measures intended to support the employment rate. These measures would be funded from the ESF and the Government will oversee and assess the allocation of funds. The measures are focused on supporting social companies, employment of graduates, cross-border migration, combating illegal work, requalification and modification of investment incentives.
