Government: Central financial controlling approved

According to the request of the European Commission and the European Court of Auditors, the Government approved a proposal of the Ministry of Finance of centralizing state financial control at its session on 2 May. The Audit Department of the Ministry should supervise any financial payments paid by structural and cohesion funds of the European Union. The aim of the centralization is to provide optimal control. The proposal is based on the EU directives (1083/2006, 1198/2006). The central state audit system is a condition of the EU to provide any further payments for Czech applications after 30 June.
