Government discussed Strategy of maximum drawdown of EU funds for 2007-2013

On its meeting on 6th August Czech government also discussed the Strategy of maximum drawdown of EU funds for the period of 2007-2013. Based on the information from Minister of Regional Development Věra Jourová that Czech Republic has not yet used approximately 21.6 bn CZK. In the case that no action was taken the amount could be even higher. Government agreed then agreed to take active measures that will be assessed every month. The Operational Programme for Environment and also Operational Programme for Research, Development and Innovations were assessed as the ones with the highest risk. So far 113 188 applications for subventions were made accounting in total for 1 293.4 bn CZK which means 185.3 % of allocated funds. Of these only 53 720 contracts were signed with total amount of 631.5 bn CZK which is 90.5 % of the total allocated funds. Of these 417.6 bn were transferred to receivers accounts meaning 59.8 % of total allocation with 369.7 bn of certified costs presented to the European Commission which means which means 53 % of amount allocated for the period 2007-2013.
