Government intends to spare money by reduction of the state administration

The Government passed a proposal on state administration reduction prepared by the Legislative Council of Government on 6 June. Till July 2012 each state administrative office is to prepare an overview of its activities. The overviews will be further analyzed to determine possible duplications in their activities. The Legislative Council is to put forth an analysis on reduction of the state administration and propose the Government further measures regarding the reduction till 30 September. However, the Government expects that the reduction should be regulated by law; therefore, the Government’s intention is to apply measures in 2014 to prepare law in 2013. The aim of the reduction is to spare more than CZK 24 billion till 2015. The Government also intends to provide the process of state administration with higher efficiency by reduction of duplicate activities.
