The Government passed a decree capping energy prices for companies with 250+ employees. As for small and medium-sized businesses and the public sector, the prices for large companies will be capped at CZK 5,000 for one megawatt hour (MWh) of electricity (excl. VAT and distribution fees), and at CZK 2,500 for one MWh of gas (excl. VAT and distribution fees). The caps will apply to 80% of maximum monthly consumption in the past five years.
