Committees of the Chamber of Deputies assembled last week. On 21 November, the Budget Committee, the Municipal Funding Subcommittee respectively, discussed the governmental proposal of the Act on Budget Rules that clarifies the process of state supervision over the economic management of regions and municipalities.
The Subcommittee also discussed the so-called financial constitution (Act on Financial Responsibility, zákon o rozpočtové zodpovědnosti) that regulates the process of proposing and passing Acts on State Budget. The Act should be deliberated by deputies at the meeting of the Chamber of Deputies on 4 December.

The Senate met at its first meeting on 21 November. The Senate elected its Speaker and Vice-Speakers. On 5 December, the regular plenary session of the Senate starts. The Senate will discuss primarily the governmental proposal of the Act on Taxation that aims at reducing the budget deficit.
