planes.cz: New flights to Ostrava, Pardubice, Prague

Starting from 30 March next year, LOT plans to launch flights from Warsaw to Ostrava, planes.cz informed.

Pardubice Airport has signed a contract with Ryanair to connect with Alicante for the next summer season. The Alicante route was launched in March 2018 (every Monday and Thursday). According to Hana Šmejkalová, EBA Director, the occupation of flights is 95%, planes.cz wrote.

Also from 30 March 2020, Rossiya will operate14 Prague - St. Petersburg flights per weeek, adding Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday flights.This will lead to two rotations each day, planes.cz wrote. More details by Prague Airport here.

SkyUp Airlines, a Ukrainian low-cost carrier, launched scheduled flights connecting Prague with Lviv and Kharkiv today. Direct flights from Václav Havel Airport Prague to these destinations will be available to passengers twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, Prague Airport informed.

 

 

Prime Minister Babiš talked earlier in November 2019 about investments planned for Prague Airport. In total, investments of up to 55 billion are planned. It is mainly a new runway, which should be finished by 2028; the investment in the parallel runway is 14 billion crowns. The first phase of the T2 terminal extension has already begun, it is scheduled for 2028.

Investment in the airport will also be complemented by investment in transport links. “For decades we have been talking about the connection of Masaryk Station - Airport - Kladno. Finally, we started building and it is an investment of 44 billion. I asked the director of SŽDC to coordinate the center-airport connection, ie also to be completed in 2028. To this comes another investment, namely the extension of the R7 road to Kladno, which is to be extended by two lanes. These are all huge investments that are part of the National Investment Plan, ” said Prime Minister Andrej Babiš.
