easyJet has announced the launch of the new direct route between Prague and Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland. The carrier will operate its new route twice weekly on Monday and Friday – effective 29 October, Prague Airport informed.
Cyprus Airways announced that it will continue operating flights to the Czech capital through the winter season. On 23 June 2018, Chinese airline Sichuan Airlines, after several delays, launched a new regular connection between Prague and Zurich. This flight will be operated twice a week, Wednesdays and Saturdays. The arrival in Prague from Chengdu is planned at 6:55 and the flight should depart for Switzerland at 8:25, to return again to Prague at 12:55 (and stay until 15:00). From October 28, Ryanair will be flying on a renewed route from Milan (Bergamo) to Brno. This is the first new line since Accolade's entry into the airport operator in Brno. Every Wednesday, Boeing 737-800 on FR4214 departs from Milan airport at 7:00 and after going to Brno between 8:25 and 8:50 returns to Milan as FR4215 at 10:15. An extensive international partnership agreement between Prague Airport and Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC), the operator of Incheon International Airport located close to Seoul, South Korea, was signed at Václav Havel Airport Prague on Tuesday, 22 May 2018. The new Memorandum of Understanding follows the original agreement signed in 2013, specifying particular areas in which the exchange of information and experience is to take place. The treaty also considers the development of new technologies. Specialists of both airports are also willing to cooperate in the area of digitalisation and new technologies, such as biometrics and robotics, Prague airport announced on 23 May.
