Petr Fiala was re-elected as the leader of the Civic Democrats (ODS) at the party’s Jan. 17–18 congress in Ostrava in northern Moravia, Prague Post informed.

Fiala ran unopposed and took 93 percent of the vote in the 27th congress. Alexandra Udženija defeated Jan Zahradil to become first deputy chairwoman. Other deputy chairs are Evžen Tošenovský, Martin Kupka and Miloš Vystrčil, who were re-elected, and Drahomíra Miklošová.
