In historically third survey held by New7Wonders founded by Bernard Weber, Swiss-Canadian film maker and traveller, Prague competes with another 28 cities from originally 1200 cities to become one of 7 wonders of the world among cities. Prague is among 28 cities along with London, Athens, Barcelona, Saint Petersburg, Kuala Lumpur or Istanbul. Even getting there is a major success for Prague as it left many comparable world capitals and other cities behind. According to Radek Kolařík, urbanist from Faculty of Architecture of ČVUT in Prague, the city benefits from its unique combination of historical monuments and its location among the hills and its setting by the river. Whether Prague makes it to the next round to 21 finalist cities remains to be seen.
