On Thursday 30th October Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA to the Czech Republic Andrew Schapiro. It was the first working meeting of Czech Prime Minister and Ambassador Schapiro after his handover of credentials. The main topics were the deepening of cooperation of both countries in security, defense and economy along with the strengthening of mutual investments and business transactions between both countries. Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka also consulted with Ambassador Andrew Schapiro his scheduled travel to USA on 19th November to take part in unveiling the bust of Václav Havel in the building of US Congress to honor the memory of his struggle for democracy and freedom and also to commemorate the 25th anniversary of 17th November 1989.
