Senate: Green Papers of EU on economy discussed

The Senate discussed the Green Paper of the European Union on Long-term Financing Strategy of European Economies. The Strategy stipulates the need of the European Union to provide financial means for sustainable economic investments. The EU emphasizes investments in green technologies, innovation and development, and infrastructural constructions. The EU also raises the question of alternative sources of project financing that would substitute the current system of investments funds and commercial banks. One of the most important stresses is the long-term and planned character of financial means provided.
