COVID-19: Measures taken by European governments

This week at the European level, efforts are being made to support countries most in need and to slow the spread of the disease, announcing financial aid, relaxed financial rules, and the closure of the EU’s external borders. Member States are further stepping up their cooperation across the board. We’ll continue to keep you posted as we see more relief measures being adopted.

As the number of cases continues to rise across Europe, we observe two major trends: countries are increasingly implementing more drastic measures to fight the spread of the virus, while simultaneously trying to boost their economies to keep them afloat.
