Politics: Czech cooperation with Israel

On 25th November governments of the Czech Republic and of Israel held their second joint meeting in Jerusalem, Israel. Czech delegation was led by Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Science, Research and Innovations Pavel Bělobrádek, Minister of Defense Martin Stropnický, Minister of Industry and Commerce Jan Mládek, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Michaela Marksová, Minister of Agriculture Martin Jurečka, Minister of Health Svatopluk Němeček and Minister of Culture Daniel Herman. During their negotiations with Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanjahu the Czech Prime Minister stressed the interest of Czech government to continue with the further development of broad and traditional partnership with Israel. Both governments also discussed the situation in the Middle East where Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka stressed the need of peaceful negotiation of Israel and Palestine where the borders would be respected and that would assure mutual peaceful relationship. Apart from the politics the importance of meeting had also impact on business relations. Czech delegation was accompanied by the representatives of Czech Chamber of Commerce, Czech-Israeli Chamber of Commerce.
