AmCham Board on ESG: If we want to be an innovative economy, we need to have a comprehensive answer to the Green New Deal

If we cannot promise renewable energy, we will not be eligible for global investments in semiconductors, automobiles, or almost any significant technology. If we cannot get those investments, we cannot hope to expand our capabilities to research and develop the next generation of global technology. If we want to be an innovative economy, we need to have a comprehensive answer to the Green New Deal.

We need to have a good plan to be in, or a good plan to be out. Equivocating means in essence we live out on the margins. Being on the margins dooms us to a “montovni” status that puts a ceiling on our prosperity.
