The Czech Republic saw a record number of foreign visitors this year. According to the data released by the state-run tourist authority, CzechTourism, a record 21.1 million foreigners visited the country in the first nine month of 2015, which is an 8.5 percent rise compared to the same period last year. The Czech Republic saw a significant drop in Russian tourists in 2015, which was, however, compensated by a marked growth in the number of visitors from Asia. Most of the foreign tourists, who visited the Czech Republic, nearly 11 percent, came only for a day, while 6.7 percent stayed in the country for at least one night.
