Holiday Season Begins: Fly from Prague to Over 100 Destinations

“Czechs' interest in summer holidays is growing and the trend will continue during the upcoming summer holiday season. However, we recommend passengers to carefully prepare for the departure and observe the currently valid conditions for travel. Carriers, as well as handling companies, must check all relevant documents at check-in, including destination country-specific entry forms and confirmations of vaccination, test or illness recovery, if required by the destination country,” Jaroslav Filip, Director of Prague Airport Aviation Business, said.

Throughout the 2021 summer season, passengers should be arriving at the airport allowing enough time for the entire check-in process, i.e., at least three hours prior to the scheduled departure of their flight.

It is now possible to travel from Václav Havel Airport Prague, to seek new experiences, to popular holiday destinations, namely to Croatia, Greece, Malta, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Spain and Italy, alongside Egypt, the Canary Islands and Portugal. Instead of a typical summer holiday stay, tourists can also fly to explore Madeira, Iceland, Israel and Jordan. Long-haul flights to Dubai and Doha, Qatar, will continue to be operated and provide passengers with the option of transfers to further destinations. Routes to a number of important European cities will also remain available to passengers. Travellers from Prague can head to distant exotic destinations, such as the Dominican Republic and the Maldives, directly thanks to the Čedok travel agency holiday packages.

Prague Airport has prepared a special www.zazitkyuzcekaji.cz website for Czech passengers with current overview of available connections from Prague, including important travel information and additional interesting facts. They can also use a ready-made traveller’s checklist summarising things to be done before a trip step by step.

Pre-flight Recommendations

It remains obligatory that passengers with scheduled flights review all currently valid conditions for travel before the trip. This includes both the conditions implemented in their final destination and the measures governing their return to the Czech Republic.

At Check-in, Passengers Are to Present:

  • A completed Country Entry Form, if required by their final destination
  • A printed Covid-19 negative test result, vaccination certificate or doctor’s note confirming they have had Covid-19 (subject to specific respective country requirements)
  • A valid travel document

Passengers should also be aware of all applicable measures aboard their airline-operated aircraft as well as measures implemented at Prague Airport. In line with these measures, we strongly appeal to travellers to:

  • Mandatorily wear FFP2 respirators or alternative equally-efficient protective gear while inside the airport
  • Maintain a safe distance from other travellers
  • Pay increased attention to hand hygiene and use hand sanitisers regularly
