On 8 June 2015, the Pravo daily wrote that there were 19 elections scheduled for the upcoming 12 years. In 2016, Czech political parties will compete in the regional elections and elections to the Senate, the upper chamber of the Parliament. General elections will be held in 2017. Presidential, municipal and another Senate elections are planned for 2018.
