Chamber of Deputies: Public Prosecutor Office and Act on Insolvency

The Chamber of Deputies approved the Bill on Public Prosecutor Office in the first reading on 12 June. The Bill stipulates the independence of the public prosecutor office structure. Furthermore, the Bill seeks to eliminate the political influence over prosecutors’ nomination process. The Bill with the additional implementing Bill has been put forward to the Committee on Constitution.

The Chamber of Deputies also passed the Act on Insolvency (insolvenční zákon) that had been declined by the Senate. The Bill defines under which condition the trustee in bankruptcy is allowed to be granted the state authorization for the . The aim of the Bill is to professionalize the bankruptcy trusteeship and to hinder any groundless impact of unprofessional trustees to interfere in entrepreneurship conditions.
