Czech businesses lag behind in active use of social media (i.e. having an account, active profile), compared with businesses operating in other EU member states. The Czech Republic ranks just ahead of Romania, Poland and Latvia, the Czech Statistical Office say in their September report in the Statistika & my journal. Most active are corporations with 250+ employees and businesses operating in the fields of tourism, publishing, film & broadcasting, lodging facilities, and telecommunications. Least active are companies operating in the areas of transport, construction, and manufacturing.
