CzechInvest already received more than 100 requests

In the period from January to May 2014 CzechInvest already receied more than 100 requests for investment incentives. This is already more than last year as there were only 98 applicants in 2013. The reason is the upcoming change of investments incentives accepted by European Commision that changes the level of support from 40 % to 25 % that will come into effect this July. These upcoming investments should bring more than CZK 55 bn and create more than 11,000 workplaces especially in Moravskoslezský and Ústecký kraj. According to the Executive Director of CzechInvest Ondřej Votruba one of the investors is Hitachi Automotive Systems Czech which is to extend its activities here. The biggest FDI to the Czech Republic so far was the investment of Hyundai that built its factory in Nošovice and invested CZK 94 bn in 2006.
