Creation of European National Convention Bureau was officially introduced in October during international fair M.I.C.E.: IMEX in Las Vegas, USA. The aim of the alliance is to share the experience and closely cooperate in order to retain the position of both individual member countries and Europe as a whole on the foremost position in business events in the world. Czech Convention Bureau is one of its founding members along with organizations from another 16 European countries, namely: Austria, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland and Denmark. The members are to convene twice per year (for the next time in Copenhagen) to discuss the situation on market consisting of 2.5 million business visitors a year and three times more meetings than in second world region Asia/Middle East.
