planes.cz: New or changed connections with Prague, Brno

According to preliminary data, Flydubai flights from Dubai to Prague should also fly under the Emirates (EK49xx) codes by May 2018 at the latest. Emirates and Flydubai announced the gradual introduction of code sharing in mid-July 2017. Among the Flydubai lines with the Emirates codes, there are flights to Krasnodar, Muscat, Prague and Sofia, planes.cz writes.

 

Ryanair flight restrictions will affect Prague, Brno and Bratislava, planes.cz reports. Ryanair changed its original schedule of canceled flights, the current status looks like this:

FR198 / 9 Berlin - Bratislava - Berlin: canceled on Sunday 24.9.

FR1374 / 5 London Stansted -  Prague  - Stansted: canceled on Tuesday 26.9., 3.10., 10.10., 17.10. and 24.10.

FR2498 / 9 London Stansted -  Bratislava  - Stansted: canceled on Monday 25.9., 2.10., 9.10., 16.10. and 23.10.

FR8403 / 4 London Stansted - Brno - Stansted: canceled on Thursday 21.9., Sunday 24.9.
 

In Prague, until 21 November, the public transport lines towards Prague-Ruzyně Airport may be delayed due to construction works, planes.cz writes. Given the traffic situation, Prague Airport advise passengers coming to the airport by public transport to allow enough time for their journey.

 

Romanian airline Tarom will strengthen its Bucharest-Prague flight reintroduced in 2013. Besides Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday flights, there will be a Sunday rotation served by Airbus A318. RO225 will depart from Bucharest at 10:50 and land in Prague at 11:45, return line RO226 will be on its way home at 12:35 and will land in Bucharest at 15:25 local time, planes.cz writes.

 

EasyJet with the end of the summer flight schedule (October 28, 2017) will cease operating the flight from Prague to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. This flight has been in operation since the start of the summer flight schedule on 28 March 2010. Prague-Paris flights will be operated by Air France, CSA, Transavia (Orly Airport) and Vueling, though, planes.cz writes.

 

From 29 October 2017, BMI will shift its Embraer's evening flights from Munich to Brno to an earlier departure time. On working days, BM1737 will leave Munich at 17:25 and land at 18:30 in Brno, departure of BM1738 is scheduled at 19:00 and landing in Munich at 20:05, allowing for better transfers to European destinations and some lines to Asia and South America. Sunday flights: Munich 16:40 - 17:45 Brno 18:15 - 19:20 Munich, planes.cz says.

 

Russian company RusLine started selling airline tickets in August to new routes between Kaliningrad and Berlin and Kalinigrad and Prague. RusLine launched a route from Voronezh to Prague three years ago, but it stayed in operation for just over a month, planes.cz writes.

 

Greek Aegean Airlines will add Thursday's rotation from Athens on June 8, 2018, so they will fly daily on the route Prague-Athens. The line has been in operation since May 24, 2012, starting three times a week, over the years the carrier gradually increased the frequency, planes.cz says.

 

The Eindhoven-Brno route ends with the last day of the summer flight schedule, planes.cz writes. Wizz Air is operating Luton-Brno flight (from the end of October, deploying the larger Airbus A321), while Ryanair is operating Stansted-Brno flight. The latest acquisition of the Brno airport are bmw regional Embraer flights to Munich, flying from the end of 2015.

 

Beginning May 2018, American Airlines will launch new scheduled services between Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG) and its Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) hub, Prague Airport writes. The new service will provide more than 2,800 seats per week between the two cities, throughout the summer season. 

 

Ryanair has doubled the number of transfer flights via Bergamo to 50. Among the new flights via Bergamo, which can be booked under one reservation code, is the connection from Prague to Porta and Bratislava to Cagliari, Catania, Porta and Valencia. Upon transfer to Bergamo, you will not have to pass through passport control and new check-in, and your luggage can be picked up at the destination airport, planes. cz writes.

 

Wizz Air, a low-cost airline, has launched ticket sales for its new route which is to connect Václav Havel Airport Prague with Eilat, a southern Israeli resort, Prague Airport informs.

 

Flybe airline, working with Stobart Air, has operated five regular scheduled flights between Prague and London Southend Airport a week since May 2017. The carrier has announced its plan to add two more frequencies on the route effective the start of the 2018 summer season. The new connections will be operated by Embraer 195 aircraft on Tuesdays and Saturdays which will make the connection available to passengers on a daily basis, Prague Airport informs

 

Prague Ruzyne airport handled a total of 6,764,752 passengers for the first half of 2017, almost 1.2 million (over 20 percent) more than in the same period of last year. Great increases were recorded between Prague and Africa, as well as the Middle East and the Far East. Due to the year-on-year increase in seat occupancy capacity of 14% and above, a corresponding increase in passenger numbers over the whole year can be expected. In 2015, the number of checked-in passengers reached 12 million, and in the last days of 2016, 13 million passengers were collected per year. On 23 June this year the airport handled a record 64,008 passengers per day, but this number can be overcome in the summer months, planes.cz writes.
