Technický týdeník/Dotyk.cz Japan Business Expo: 12 Japanese and almost 80 Czech businesses meet in Prague

There are 200 Japanese companies operating in the Czech Republic, but only 5 Czech businesses present in Japan. According to the CzechInvest Agency, Japanese investment in the Czech Republic in 1993-2015 amounted to CZK 118.22bn, with Japan being the third largest foreign investor in the country. Japanese companies are looking for cooperation in the automotive, construction and engineering sectors, as well as partners in the field of design, architecture, catering (restaurants) and lodging (hotels). The Japan Business Expo aims at breaking barries to trade such as cultural differences, language barrier and different management style, also by making possible the first contact between the Czech and Japanese potential business partners, Technický týdeník informed. Tablet weekly Dotyk.cz added that among the most attractive Japanes companies present at the event were Marunishi, Yagi, Ogino, Neopretex, and Yamazaki. 12 Japanese companies and almost 80 Czech businesses attended the event.
