Shape, in a new industrial zone with a total area of 36,400 m2, is expanding its production of crumple zones that increase the safety of car occupants. The new plant will make a significant contribution to the development of the Pilsen region by, among other things, bringing more than 700 permanent jobs to the site. Shape's unique corporate culture has secured the best employer of the year award in the Pilsen region for several years in a row.

The area near Nýřany, which was built on a former brownfield site, boasts a rich industrial history. More than 150 years ago, the Krimich mine was opened here - at the time the deepest coal mine in the West Bohemian district. In the 1920s, Škoda built a thermal power plant here, which supplied its engineering plants in Pilsen, the town of Nýřany and the nearby munitions factory. During the 1950s and 1960s, a concrete plant of the Prefa company was located on the land. After the plant ceased operation in the 1950s and the shaft was closed in 1971, the area was converted into the Likona Nýřany food processing plant, which operated until the 1990s.

The modern hall meets the stringent requirements under the BREEAM New Construction environmental certification and features a number of ecological and sustainable features. The hall is ready for the installation of photovoltaic panels on the roof of the building and will use rainwater for flushing. A carbon footprint is being calculated from the start of construction so that the developer can minimise the impact on climate change.
