2016 OUTLOOK: Czech business sector, academia, IMF, World Bank, WEF, The Economist, BBC and more (updated)

Global economic growth will be "disappointing" next year, IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde wrote in a guest article for German newspaper Handelsblatt published on 30 December 2015. Referring to the eurozone, Lagarde said the bloc could improve its growth prospects by tackling the issue of bad loans amounting to about 900 billion euros ($985 billion). "This would allow banks to expand lending to businesses and households and bolster the effectiveness of the loose monetary policy." Read more in Czech and English
