The Czech Republic lost 385,000 people of working age due to aging between 2011-2017. Between 2010-2015, a net of 8,000 people emigrated from the country annually . And between 2012-2017, companies increased the number of occupied jobs by 346,000.

Czech Republic Placed 26th in the Social Progress Index, Obtaining More Points but Slipping in the Ranking

The Czech Republic took 26th place in the international Social Progress Index 2018. The annual ranking is prepared by the non-profit organisation Social Progress Imperative together with Deloitte, using data on social and economic developments and the environment.
