Compensation bonus for the self-employed and small limited liability company members is back

On 16 October 2020, the government approved a bill on compensation bonuses for entrepreneurs predominantly operating their business within closed segments of the economy. The bill proposes a compensation bonus of CZK 500 for every calendar day of the bonus period.

Do you have valid home office agreements with your employees and have the associated risks been properly addressed?

You are probably among the many employers who as a result of the sudden onset of the coronavirus pandemic were abruptly forced to adopt a home office policy. Prior to that, home office was probably not allowed in your company at all or maybe only in limited cases as an employee benefit. Be advised that Act No. 262/2006 Coll., Labour Code (the “Labour Code”) and regulations on occupational health and safety fully apply to work performed at home.
