ManpowerGroup Employment Outlook Survey: Q4 Global Employment Outlook for Q4 Remains Strong Amid Cooling in Hiring

Executive Summary • Used internationally as a bellwether of economic and labor market trends, the Net Employment Outlook – calculated by subtracting the percentage of employers who anticipate reductions to staffing levels from those who plan to hire – now stands at +30%, down slightly (-3%) from Q3, yet 6% higher than this time last year. • Organizations in the IT industry report the most optimistic Outlook (+42%); followed closely by Banking, Real Estate, and Insurance (+37%). • The brightest hiring intentions for next quarter are in Asia Pacific (+40%) and South and Central Americas (+39%), with the greatest expectations in Brazil (+56%) and India (+54%). • While employers in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) anticipate relatively stable hiring (+21%), yet Outlooks for countries near Ukraine fall by as much as -17% since last quarter

Remote work from abroad: Potential consequences for employers

In recent years, working from home has become a commonly used tool. The previously required benefit among employees has become a necessary tool for maintaining operations in many companies during the COVID-19 pandemic. Employees had to fundamentally change their working habits and adapt to the new situation overnight. Talent Shortage 2022: Lack of employees with the necessary profile

ManpowerGroup has released the results of its annual Shortage of Employees with the Right Profile survey, which focuses on how challenging it is for employers to fill their vacancies and which profiles are the most difficult to fill. The survey, conducted in May 2022, found that 49% of Czech employers are struggling to fill their vacancies. Large employers (250+ employees) face the most talent shortages, with 57% reporting that they cannot find enough suitable candidates in the long term, while 48% of small companies (10-49 employees) and 47% of medium-sized companies (50-249 employees) face talent shortages. Micro firms (up to 10 employees) report the least problem with a lack of suitable candidates (42%).
